JOB SUMMARY The Invasive and Non-Invasive Cardiovascular manager oversees all outpatient Invasive and Non-invasive cardiovascular departments and services at Backus and Windham Hospitals, including Cardiac Catheterization Lab, IR Nursing, Echocardiography, EKG, Cardiac Testing, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. In addition to daily operations, this role ensures safe, quality care delivery with fiscal responsibility. Monitors quality metrics, financial performance and ensures staff competency to meet departmental expectations. The manager will maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers to meet the needs of the patient and business unit. This role reports to the HVI Director. Key Responsibilities Manages daily operations for Invasive and Non-invasive departments. Maintains staff productivity, monitors and enhances patient throughput. Aligns and cascades goals from the Balanced Scorecard to focus and prioritize work. Promotes positive patient experience identifying areas of improvement, implementing patient experience programs and promoting a culture of service excellence. Develops and manages departmental budgets in a fiscally responsible manner. Adjusts operations to budget, provides detail and explanation to variances. Uses understanding of culture to build partnerships and consensus around the organizations vision, priorities and key initiatives. Fosters an environment that encourages creativity and development of new ideas. Implements solutions that are data-driven and evidence based. Responsible for communication and collaboration with department leaders and physicians to drive outcomes. Develops unit specific dashboards. Monitors quality metrics. Develops action plans to improve quality outcomes. Meets with staff and providers on a regular basis to review quality indicators and metrics. Ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements within all departments. Functions as a facilitator of learning by modifying, developing, and evaluating program-based education programs, monitoring the learning needs of staff and designing educational opportunities to enhance the knowledge and skills of staff. Ensures staff competencies are completed in a timely manner. Responsible for recruitment and retention of staff. Demonstrates a response to diversity by role modeling age specific practice, identifying and resolving conflicts between others and develops awareness of diversity issues in staff. Uses a prescribed methodology to lead and promote practice and change. Visibility assists teams to remove barriers, identifies common goals and interests and uses them to unite individuals and teams to promote change.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required; Master's Degree in Nursing or a health related field preferred.
Experience:
At least three (3) years of progressive management experience in a hospital clinical area required with demonstrated leadership experience. Licensure, Certification, Registration:
Current CT License Registered Nurse required. Language Skills:

Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
